What do you do if you disagree with the results of a scientific study?1 min read

What do you do if you disagree with the results of a scientific study? I’ve had people write “hard to believe” in the comments to a post. But wait, that’s not required at all. You don’t need to directly “believe” the results of the experiments. What is required is simply to take them into account. Some people think that way. Maybe if they’ve been published in a good scientific journal like Nature or The Lancet, they have a good reason to believe that. But you can absolutely continue to believe what you like based on your personal experience. Scientists can be wrong.

There’s only one obligation that new knowledge imposes on you. That obligation is to not show too much of an aplomb about the topic. You can no longer assert your opinion as something self-evident. Obviously, not all people agree with you.
